We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join a fantastic team in Tulsa, OK. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care within an ophthalmology practice. You will assist in various clinical tasks, ensuring a smooth workflow and enhancing the patient experience.

Optometric Technician Responsibilities

• Conduct patient intake by gathering medical history and performing preliminary assessments.
• Measure and record vital signs accurately.
• Assist ophthalmologists during examinations and procedures while maintaining aseptic techniques.
• Utilize EMR systems, including Epic, to document patient information and maintain accurate medical records.
• Provide education to patients regarding their conditions and treatment options.
• Ensure the clinic environment is clean, organized, and compliant with HIPAA regulations.
• Support front desk operations, including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries.
• Assist with optical sales by providing guidance on eyewear options and retail math concepts.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient clinic operations.

Optometric Technician Qualifications

• Previous experience in an ophthalmology or medical office setting is required.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and HIPAA regulations.
• Ability to perform intake procedures, including measuring vital signs.
• Experience in an optical environment is beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and customer service.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining attention to detail.

• Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm
• Tuesdays – 10:45am-5:30pm
