Expanded Services
This year we took on a new area by opening up a Light & Industrial division. We felt like there was a huge hole in this industry when it comes to obtaining quality candidates for full time employment. We are hoping to help these industrial managers find the talent they need for long-term success rather than short-term employment.
We also started building more relationships with the medical tech schools in the Tulsa area. The job market has changed significantly post Covid and it has been a huge adjustment for everyone. We hear from managers on a daily basis about policy changes, new facility requirements and what other qualities they are looking for in an ideal employee. Our goal is to be able to help bridge the gap for both the students and managers looking for new talent.
HIPAA Training Class
Earlier this year we rolled out our HIPAA training classes to help out our managers with compliance. Each group gets full coverage of all the HIPAA requirements, takes a test and receives a certificate upon completion. We have had so much fun running these training courses! Our goal is to not only educate, but have a good time while we do it. Team Building
One thing I really wanted to do is make sure I check-in with my team and give them breaks from the daily grind to have some fun. One thing the pandemic taught me as a manager is that burnout is REAL.
Once a month, I took my team on a team building adventure. Sometimes that looked like ice cream and conversation, a birthday celebration or sometimes it was a big event like the Tulsa State Fair. Sometimes it was playing games together in order to build trust and respect. I am a firm believer that you have to build your team up in order to get your best from them. I genuinely care about each one of my employees and do my best to show it with these team building exercises and events.
Superior Screening Solutions
Last year, I decided that I wanted to have more control over our background screens. In the past, we have had a hard time with 3rd party background screening companies when it comes to technical support and communication. We officially started Superior Screening Solutions and hit the ground running. We have worked really hard this year to build this new background screening company. We have found it to be a great benefit to our customers as well as other organization and companies looking for a better way.
Our candidates are verified without having to wait and are able to start work immediately. We are really proud of the work that is being done and the strides that have been taken this year to create a better experience for our customers. A New Way Forward
2023 held a lot of ups and downs but ultimately we call it a success. The Swift Staffing team has worked hard this past year to reinvent the way we do things. We understand how the job market has changed post Covid and we have adjusted our services to accommodate the new job market. We are looking forward to what 2024 has to offer both our staff and the amazing people we serve everyday. We have some great things in the works and can’t wait to share them with you.
