We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Optician to join a fantastic team in Fayetteville, AR. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of active experience and play a crucial role in providing exceptional eye care services to our patients.

As an Optician, you will be responsible for assisting patients with eyewear selection, fitting, and adjustments, while also ensuring a high standard of customer service. A strong background in ophthalmology and retail management is preferred.

Duties

• Assist patients in selecting eyeglasses and contact lenses that meet their visual needs and personal style.
• Perform fittings and adjustments of eyewear to ensure proper fit and comfort.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including prescriptions and insurance information.
• Process orders for eyewear and manage inventory levels effectively.
• Educate patients on the proper care and use of their eyewear.
• Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Utilize systems such as Epic for managing patient information and appointments.
• Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques when handling medical equipment.

Requirements

• Current Licensed Optician credential (Arkansas state license).
• Certification from ABO (American Board of Opticianry) preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of optical instruments (lensometers, pupilometers, etc.) and basic computer skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and customer-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail/clinical environment.

Hours:

• Monday – Friday 8am-5pm

Compensation:

• Pay range is $15-$17 per hour, depending on experience.
