1. Responsible for maintaining a full working knowledge of the CNC laser
machine(s) including setups, on screen programming, consumable selection and
operator controls.
2. Participates in scheduling meetings and will coordinate schedules with superior
occasionally.
3. Supervises helper(s) in machine work area and ensures that parts are being
properly tagged and sorted according to customer and job.
4. Operates machine(s) in a productive fashion minimizing down time and
maintaining an organized flow of materials and finished parts.
5. Responsible for first article inspection of cut parts and quantities according to the
shop work order.
6. Responsible for accurate interpretation of information provided on work
orders.
7. Accurately completes daily job sheets (sketch tickets) detailing jobs cut/times and
materials as well as accounts for all hours worked each day.
8. Responsible for transfer of all material data to parts and remnant material
including plate numbers, size and heat number information.
9. Ensures the completed job is accurately tagged and accounted for with the
proper paperwork, including all certification etc upon completing burn jobs,
and staged as dictated by the shipping dept.
10. Responsible for housekeeping and safety in their work areas, including the
supervision of helper(s) and adherence to all housekeeping and safety policies
and procedures.
11. Assists in the constant improvement of production efficiency.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-
one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the
organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,
common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw
and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in
written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete
variables in standardized situations.
