Job Overview:
The role involves operating radiologic machinery to produce clinical diagnostic x-ray films as per physicians’ instructions and conducting routine diagnostic procedures.

X-Ray Tech Duties:

– Position patients and adjust equipment for capturing x-rays according to given procedures.
– Inputting data into the X-ray system.
– Providing patients with clear instructions about procedures.
– Adhering strictly to safety guidelines when dealing with radiologic machinery.
– Regulating radiation exposure’s duration and intensity by calibrating equipment on an individual basis.
– Scrutinizing radiologic images for aspects such as density and contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion.
– Approving patient discharge upon completion of the radiologic examination.
– Overseeing maintenance of X-ray rooms along with ensuring availability of necessary medical and radiological supplies.
– Cleaning and performing minor tweaks on the radiological equipment when needed.
-Assisting physicians during different procedures if required.
-Delivering digital discs needed for surgery to physicians.
-Taking part in training staff members, residents, or student technologists on how to operate equipment, handle patients’ movement, and maintain quality assurance standards.
-Pursuing professional development through educational programs, conferences or workshops
-Upholding strict confidentiality at all times
-Carrying out any other assigned duties

Work Schedule: Typical work hours are Monday-Friday from 8am – 5pm.

Compensation: Initial hourly wage is $22-$25 based on experience level.
