Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Pulmonology, where you will play a vital role in diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with respiratory and pulmonary conditions. You will utilize your clinical expertise and advanced practice skills to improve respiratory health outcomes across diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical histories focused on respiratory and pulmonary health.
  • Assist in diagnostic evaluations by interpreting pulmonary function tests, imaging studies, and laboratory results such as arterial blood gases and sputum analysis.
  • Prescribe medications and treatment plans for respiratory conditions, including inhalers, antibiotics, corticosteroids, and botulinum toxin treatments for specific indications.
  • Manage acute and chronic pulmonary diseases by providing ongoing care, monitoring ventilator settings, and coordinating with ICU teams for critical care patients.
  • Perform procedures such as thoracentesis, sputum collection, and basic airway management while adhering to aseptic techniques.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on clinical research projects related to pulmonology or critical care medicine to advance evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

  • Valid Physician Assistant license with current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Demonstrated experience in pulmonology or critical care settings with hospital experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to respiratory health.
  • Hands-on experience with ventilator management, airway procedures, and acute pain management techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as Level I or Level II trauma centers or emergency rooms; ICU experience highly valued.
  • Excellent client communication skills with a focus on patient care, education, and health coaching.

Hours 

  • Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Pay is very competitive and will be discussed in the interview.
