SURGICAL RECOVERY NURSE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Primary responsibility is to assist patients directly out of surgery into recovery room.
• Offer necessary post-surgical care as needed.
• Uses good communication skills to interact with patients, families, and team members.
• Assist Case Management by being a patient advocate, resource, and contact person for patients.
• Demonstrates an ability to remain calm, perform effectively and professionally during peak periods of activity and emergency situations.
• Assists provider with examination and procedures per request.
• Other duties as required.

Nurse Administrative Duties:

• Adhere to all policies of the organization, including (but not limited to) job description, certification/licensure requirements, mission statement, HIPAA, confidentiality standards and patient’s rights.
• Actively engage and stay up to date with organization’s communications and directives.
• Acts in a professional manner, demonstrates compliance with all policy, procedures, and state/federal regulations.
  Demonstrates ongoing service excellence skills.
• Maintains economical and efficient nursing care in a clean and safe environment.
• Participates in performance improvement activities as required.
• Demonstrates ongoing understanding and supports corporate strategic initiatives.
• Participates in meeting, education and demonstrates genuine desire to develop strategies for improved operation for a higher level of patient care.

SURGICAL RECOVERY NURSE EDUCATIONAL/SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Current license recognized and in good standing with the Oklahoma Board of Nursing
• Able to make decisions under pressure.
• Able to handle multiple priorities

HOURS:

• Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

PAY:

• RN – $37+ per hour depending on experience.
