We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Certified Respiratory Therapist to join a dynamic healthcare team in Oklahoma City, OK . In this vital role, you will provide expert respiratory care to patients in emergent situations. ICU ventilator experience is required to be successful in this role.

Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes through precise assessment, effective airway management, and advanced ventilator support. Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments to determine respiratory needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Manage and monitor ventilators for patients requiring mechanical ventilation in critical care settings such as ICU.
  • Assist with airway management procedures, including intubation and suctioning, ensuring patient safety at all times.
  • Conduct vital signs monitoring and interpret physiological data to inform treatment decisions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including physicians, nurses, and pulmonologists—to deliver coordinated patient care.
  • Document all procedures accurately in medical records while adhering to hospital protocols and medical terminology standards.
  • Support emergency medicine efforts by responding swiftly to acute respiratory distress situations and providing basic life support when necessary.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives focused on respiratory care practices within hospital or outpatient environments.

Experience:

  • Proven experience working in hospital medicine with a focus on critical care environments such as ICU or emergency medicine.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in airway management techniques and ventilator operation across diverse patient populations including pediatrics and geriatrics.
  • Prior experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable, showcasing your ability to handle complex cases efficiently.
  • Familiarity with outpatient clinics or outpatient respiratory therapy programs is a plus, emphasizing versatility across settings.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to respiratory therapy practices.
  • Experience with medication administration related to respiratory treatments and acute care protocols.

Education/Requirements:

  • Certification as a Respiratory Therapist from an accredited organization is required; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification must be current.
  • ICU / Ventilator experience required.

Hours:

  • Night Shift: 6:30pm-7am
