We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Scheduler to join a fantastic healthcare team in Tulsa, OK. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient patient scheduling and maintaining accurate medical records. This position requires experience with new patient and existing patient scheduling, insurance authorizations and verifications, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.

Duties

• Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently, ensuring optimal use of provider time.
• Manage incoming calls from patients, addressing inquiries regarding appointments, services, and insurance.
• Maintain and update patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Verify and authorize insurance eligibility and benefits for scheduled appointments, including Medicare and other insurances.
• Utilize medical scheduling software to manage appointments and patient information.
• Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and maintaining medical records.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and follow-up appointments.
• Ensure all necessary documentation is prepared prior to patient visits.

Experience

• Previous experience in a medical office or hospital setting is required.
• Working knowledge in insurance verifications and authorizations also required.
• Familiarity with medical billing processes and coding systems a plus.
• Proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry.
• Strong administrative skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is highly desirable.

Hours: 

• Monday – Friday 8am-5pm

Pay:

• $15-$17 depending on experience
